Her reentry program helps companies boost diversity and acquire highly talented, professional, and qualified women. Her passion lies in supporting, educating, and empowering women in the workplace and globally.

Sonu Ratra is co-founder and president of Akraya Inc., whose diversity initiative Women Back to Work is helping change the narrative for professionals returning to the workforce. Ratra also recently created partnerships to launch return-to-work initiatives in the contingent programs at Splunk, ServiceNow and Pure Storage, and she also built an advisory board and honorary advisory board for Akraya/Women Back to Work. She continues her work with the Institute for Economic Empowerment of Women, which is currently helping evacuate Afghan women and their families from Kabul. In September 2021, Ratra was elected chairwoman of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group’s Foundation board.
