I hope you all are having a great summer and despite your busy schedules can take some time cooling off and enjoying the nice things the sunny summer days have to offer.
Folks at Akraya have certainly been busy in the first half of 2013 finding and managing dream projects for our over 300 consults. We started off the year being named the #1 Best Staffing Firm to Work for & #1 Best Staffing Firm to Contract for in the US by Staffing Industry Analysts. We are proud to share that in April, Akraya was also named the #1 Best Place to Work by the San Francisco Business Times for the third year in a row!
In April, we welcomed new Chief Operating Officer, Pankaj Jindal to the Akraya team. Pankaj brings considerable depth of experience in running high-performance businesses, particularly in partnering with Managed Service Providers. We are psyched to have him on board!
Besides growing the business, we also found time to give back to our local community. We sponsored and ran the Race for Literacy as a team for the fifth year in a row. We are passionate about this cause, organized by India Literacy Project (ILP) with the goal to help raise funds for a 100% literacy in India. As we begin the second half of the year, we are full of new plans. Most recently, we launched Akraya Solutions, a revamped and expanded version of our managed projects service line with a focus on Cloud, Big Data, Mobile Applications, Quality Engineering and Creative services.
