Sonu Ratra is the President of AKRAYA that she co-founded with Amar Panchal, after over a decade in international recruiting and IT staffing. As AKRAYA’s President, she has successfully established and managed Employee programs, Contingent Staffing programs, and Vendor programs.

Sonu believes in building long-term relationships rather than simply execute on requirements, a trait that has earned her loyal clients as well as happy employees and consultants. She has been recognized as a highly motivated and focused thought leader.

As a committed promoter of community service and women empowerment paramount, she proudly serves on the Northern California Supplier Diversity Council – MBEIC. Besides being a member of Indian Business and Professional Women (IBPW), Women in Technology International (WITI) and TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs), she mentors women to provide them with career guidance. In addition, Sonu also participates in the Peace Through Business mentorship program of The Institute of Economic Empowerment for Women guiding the careers of women business owners from countries like Rwanda and Afghanistan.

Sonu Ratra holds an MS degree in Social Sciences from Tata Institute of Social Studies (TISS) in India, an MPM in HR Management from Symbiosis International Educational Centre, India and a certificate in HR Training and Development from the UC Berkeley.
